About Us

Rob Murray & Graeme Walker have known each other since school. Both came into the trials world pretty late in the game, but were both pretty quick to see the potential for fantastic trials riding areas which Bulgaria held!                   

Rob’s been a Bulgarian resident since 2009, & has an established base in central Bulgaria, & both he & Graeme had been riding trials bikes recreationally throughout central Bulgaria.
When they discovered some really incredible. but well hidden, areas very close by while out on the bikes during one of Graeme’s yearly trips out to Bulgaria, it was like the light-switch had been flicked on…
As Rob already had suitable properties for guests, it seemed possible that a business involving riding trials bikes might just be feasible…
& so Trials Bulgaria came about. Just like that. The idea was batted-about for a while without any real plan until they started seriously looking at the difficulties of running this kind of operation in Bulgaria, & both reckoned they could be overcome!
Rob has a background in the design & manufacture of high-end jewellery, somehow becoming involved in catering & hospitality after moving permanently to Bulgaria. After 30 years in the legal profession, & with the chance of retirement, Graeme took the decision to become involved in the shaping & running of Trials Bulgaria. Graeme & his son are actively involved in the Scottish trials scene.
Both Rob & Graeme are keen to offer others the chance to explore Bulgaria’s beautiful countryside by bike!
